I’ve been taking my daughter to classes at Sakura Gakuen for 3 years now. I’m so impressed with the curriculum and the teachers – each has been wonderful in her own way…Patient, caring and enthusiastic. I didn’t think I’d be able to raise a bilingual child, but it is possible! She can now speak and sing songs in Japanese. She reads and writes all her hiragana. Japanese language classes are offered in two tracks- one for kids who have at least one parent who speaks Japanese at home, and those who don’t. The school front lobby is brightly decorated w seasonal themes and work done by children. They also have events like the annual Mochitsuki (end of Jan), speech contests, and summer “camp” sessions, too. Lots going on. Worth checking out if you want to learn Japanese language and culture!
